Fired bricks, which were once abundantly produced in Hong Kong, are no longer manufactured locally. Despite this, they continue to be extensively utilized in the local construction industry, with materials being imported from other regions. TAL-L investigates the potential of using public fill materials for the production of standard bricks.

This sample was created out of 23-1000-349-a mixed with recycled pottery clay powder and fired at a typical brick-making temperature of 1100°C. Currently, the brick is undergoing a series of compressive strength tests to evaluate its suitability for various applications.
