Pak Nai is a wetland and mudflat in Yuen Long District. It is surrounded by mountains and faces Deep Bay (Shenzhen Bay). Geographically, Pak Nai constitutes the coastline of Sheung Pak Nai (上白泥) and Ha Pak Nai(下白泥). Ha Pak Nai is known for its ecosystem, which is rich in biodiversity with rare species found offshore. In recent years, public concern has been raised over a controversial development plan that was ultimately abandoned due to opposition.
