Site-driven material

Located at the northern coast of Sok Kwu Wan, the Lamma Quarry was established in 1978 for rock extraction. After years of extraction, the site was left with steep rock faces that scarred the landscape. In 2011, the site was rented by YMCA for a non-profit environmental education and wildlife learning centre. A 5-hectare artificial lake was built in the middle of the site.
